Our mission is to provide quality, faith-based education to as many children as possible. Paying tuition is a sacrifice, especially among rising costs everywhere else! We work hard to assist families through scholarships and financial aid to make St. Mary Catholic School as affordable as possible.

Discounts
Welcome Discount
We love to see new faces at our school! As a way of welcoming you to our community, a discount for a new student’s first school year is available upon request. Limited number available, so apply today!
New Student Referral Discount
The best way for new families to learn about SMCS is through word of mouth! We offer a $1,000 discount to any returning family who successfully refers another family to join SMCS.
West Virginia’s Hope Scholarship
The WV Hope Scholarship empowers families to make school choices that are right for their educational needs. The Hope Scholarship program offers qualifying West Virginia K-12 students an opportunity to build an individual learning experience that works best for their child. The scholarship allows K-12 students to receive financial assistance that can be used for tuition, homeschool curriculum, and other qualifying expenses.
Fees
New Student Application Fee
$100 per student. Due upon submission of application to SMCS.
New Student Registration Fee
$250 per student. Due upon enrollment acceptance by SMCS.
Returning Family Re-Registration Fee
$300 per family. Due February 1, 2024. Increases to $350 per student after February 1, 2024.
Home and School Association (HSA) Dues
Help enrich the educational experience at our school through the HSA! $50 per family. $45 Early Bird Discount if paid by September 15, 2024.
Mandatory Raffle Fundraiser
Weekly winners! Sell tickets to your family, friends, and coworkers to help raise funds for SMCS and spread awareness of our school! $70 per family per trimester (or $210 one-time opt-out fee).
Family Commitment Program
Active families are the key to our vibrant community! We ask that a parent or guardian from each family volunteer for 10 hours each trimester. Families may pay a $30/hour opt-out fee if they do not wish to volunteer.
