St. Mary Catholic School Financial Assistance Programs

We know it’s a sacrifice to give your children the gift of a quality faith-based education.  All SMCS families are eligible to apply for financial assistance using the FACTS Education Grant & Aid Application. To request assistance from SMCS, the Archdiocese of Baltimore, or St. Mary’s Catholic Church, please consider completing a FACTS Grant and Aid application HERE

Payment Plans

Payments are made through FACTS online tuition management software on an annual, bi-annual, or 10-month basis for your convenience.

Parish Grants

Local parishes offer support for registered parishioners.  Amounts vary.

Raise Right Grants

FACTS Education Grant & Aid Application:

All SMCS families are eligible to apply for tuition assistance using the FACTS Education Grant & Aid Application. The FACTS Education Grant and Aid Application is available online and is required if you’re requesting assistance from the AOB, SMCS, or St. Mary’s parish. Deadline to apply for Archdiocesan assistance is February 28 for the following school year. Access the FACTS portal HERE.

Maryland Child Care Scholarship (CCS) Program:

Child care scholarships are available from the Maryland State Department of Education to income-eligible families of Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4 children to pay for tuition. These scholarships may be used to pay for after school care for students in grades K-8, as well. For more information about the program and see the levels of income-eligibility, click HERE.

Mother Seton Scholarships

SMCS offers scholarships to help offset tuition expenses for families needing support.  Amounts vary.

Archdiocesan Grants

The Archdiocese of Baltimore offers tuition assistance.  All SMCS families are eligible to apply.  Amounts vary.

Maryland BOOST Scholarship:

BOOST is a Maryland State Program, enacted in 2016, to ensure lower-income students could afford the K-12 education best fit for their needs. BOOST provides scholarships to eligible students to enable them to attend a nonpublic school. Access BOOST information HERE.

West Virginia Hope Scholarship:

The West Virginia Hope Scholarship program provides scholarship funds to any West Virginia resident attending a K-12 private school. These scholarships are available to any West Virginia resident eligible to enter kindergarten through 12th grade, regardless of income level. For more information and to apply, click HERE.

The state of Maryland, 529 Savings Account*:

The State of Maryland allows Marylanders to invest in 529 savings accounts to help pay their children’s K-12 tuition. Those who invest and pay for K-12 tuition with a Maryland 529 account enjoy tax-free growth and a state income tax deduction. For more information, click HERE.
