WELCOME TO THIRD GRADEwith Mrs. Leggett
Third grade is a year of transition from the development of primary skills to the development of independence. It is a time to assume greater responsibility for your education and become life long learners.
We are going to experience an exciting year of learning, sharing and fun!
What in the world is a S.T.A.R Book?
Our S.T.A.R book is an aid in the development of organizational skills and foster responsibility. The S.T.A.R. book is a way to help children become accountable for homework , assessment and project schedules, notes from home, Friday folders and money.
Be Responsible Be Respectful Be Safe Always Be a Learner
Homework Policy- Homework is a reinforcement of the teaching presented in the classroom and parents have the responsibility to provide a place of quiet that is conductive to study. It is important for the child to do their homework and hand it in the very next day. Please keep homework in the S.T.A.R. book so papers do not get crumpled, rumbled or misplaced. Third grade students will have about sixty (60) minutes of homework Monday to Thursday.
