Lady Crusaders win Championship Game!

ST. MARY CATHOLIC SCHOOL’S LADY CRUSADERS WIN CHAMPIONSHIP HAGERSTOWN, MD – St. Mary Catholic School’s varsity girls’ basketball team played in the Antietam Girls’ Basketball League’s Tournament on Friday, February 11, 2017. The girls played back to back single elimination games against their two toughest competitors.  The Lady Crusaders achieved a win over E. Russell Hicks with a score of 29-21.  Next, they went up against an undefeated Western Heights.  The girls fought hard to win the championship with a score of 25-22. The Antietam Girls’ League is comprised of teams from E. Russell Hicks, Western Heights, Boonsboro, Smithsburg, Hancock, and St. Mary Catholic School. SMCS Introduces WELCOME GRANTS

  The St. Mary Catholic School Welcome Grant Program is exclusively available to students currently enrolled in a public school who actively participate in a local Catholic parish. Students who are entering grades 2-5 will receive a tuition discount for two consecutive years; $2,000 off the first year’s tuition and $1,000 off the second year’s tuition. This is an excellent opportunity for your child to experience all that St. Mary Catholic School has to offer. There are a limited number of grants available per grade through May 1, 2017. Knott Grant/Computer Lab

News Release for new computer from Knott Grant 2015   St. Mary Catholic School has been awarded a grant from the Marion I. & Henry J. Knott Foundation in the amount of $46,970. This grant will be used to purchase new computers for the computer lab, administrative offices, and select teachers. At the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year students will be working in a lab with state-of-the-art, touchscreen computer stations. The computer lab is used by all students at St. Mary Catholic School and is an asset to our 21st century learners. “We are confident that our students will appreciate the value of these state-of-the-art computers and will benefit from a technology-rich instructional environment,” says Mrs. McDermott, Principal of St. Mary Catholic School. Mrs. Ellis, the IT coordinator adds, “The students are excited.
